Freetown, Sierra Leone, May 1st 2020: - The Board of Directors of GRAND (Grassroots Action for National Development) has approved the appointment of Mr. Edward Kargbo as the New Director of GRAND Radio.
Mr. Edward Kargbo a Graduate of Mass Communications Studies at Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone brings a wealth of experience and energy with his insight and zest to GRAND Radio.
GRAND Radio is an initiative by GRAND a registered NGO in Sierra Leone led by the Acting National Coordinator; Lawyer Edward Lassayo and a resourceful and powerful Board of Directors Chaired by Dr. Rowland Cole of the United Nations. It has been set up to help enhance the public discourse of the nation through strategic and informative programming that will help shape the narrative of Sierra Leone as well as aid in enhancing public awareness and education through mass media.
GRAND Radio launched its first Podcast Titled ‘Community Matters’ on April 2nd 2020 to aid in the fight against the COVID-19 Pandemic through informative discussions with Health Professionals and individuals with in-depth knowledge in crisis management that will help guide Sierra Leoneans in making informed decisions to ensure their safety and survival throughout the Pandemic.
